Philip McGowan
Director of Client Services

Philip McGowan leads communication programs with emphasis in the areas of media relations, issue management, copy writing and strategic planning.   

Prior to joining SPR,Philip worked as a project assistant for the John Seigenthaler Chair of Excellence in First Amendment Studies at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  There he conducted research, coordinated events and served as a teacher’s assistant within the School of Journalism.  Philip earned a master's degree in mass communication from Middle Tennessee State University as well as a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
